European Commission Data Protection Adequacy
If you're part of the European Union, you need to comply with your privacy and data protection laws, which govern how you collect and store personal information of EU citizens. Our servers are based in Canada, which the EU accepts for purposes of complying with the law. From their report:
"...personal data can flow from the 25 EU member states and three EEA member countries (Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) to that third country (includes Canada) without any further safeguard being necessary."

UK Data Protection Act
The UK Government’s assertion on personal information transfer outside of the UK indicates they abide by the European Commission’s rulings: “The eighth principle will not be breached where the transfer is to a country or territory that the European Commission has deemed 'adequate'.”
