Counting down to iCarol’s Customer Conference and User Group

We are officially less than one month away from our annual Customer Conference and User Group! This year’s event will be at the Amway Grand Plaza hotel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. As usual, we are holding our customer conference and user group in the same hotel as the Inform USA Conference, which will officially start its exciting sessions, workshops, and exhibitions the following day, Tuesday, May 21.

We’re thrilled to bring you information and sessions focused on what you told us you wanted to hear about in a survey sent to our customers. We’ll feature two sessions on the two most highly-voted topics from the survey: Resource Management and Reporting.

Our first session of the day is titled Excel-lent Adventures in Export Analysis. In this session we’ll share knowledge of Microsoft Excel to empower you to do the very most with the data tables you export out of iCarol. This will include teaching how to:

  • Access Standard, Scheduled, and Template-built Exports from iCarol Understand Excel Terminology
  • Navigate Excel Basics such as the menu, and ribbon options
  • Leverage often-overlooked tools such as Tables, Freezing Panes, Sorting and Filtering
  • Understand and Create Pivot Tables

Focusing on Resource Management, our session Back to Basics: Building a Strong Resource Database Foundation will focus on the building blocks of a good resource database and cover areas such as:

  • The structure and hierarchy of resource records
  • Field visibility selections
  • Field choices and other options
  • Resource Advanced Search and Bulk Editing

Of course these two sessions are not all we have planned. We’ll also talk about iCarol’s “Extreme Home Makeover”. As you have hopefully heard, iCarol is undergoing a redesign of our User Interface and User Experience. We’re modernizing the way iCarol looks and feels to its users, the navigation, the layout, and so much more. This is a multi-phase process but in this session we’ll not only cover what we’ve done so far, but provide a sneak peek at what’s next and share our design plans for the next phases! Attendees of this session will be the first to see the exciting changes ahead!

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a hot topic and discussion on if and how it may apply to the industries iCarol serves enters conversations on a daily basis. We’ll be joined by Neil McKechnie – founder and CEO of Yanzio AI to talk about Yanzio’s services, and a planned integration with iCarol. If Neil’s name sounds familiar to you, that’s because Neil is also the founder, and former CEO and CTO of iCarol! Anyone who knows Neil knows just how deep his expertise and passion for all things I&R and technology go — we can’t think of a more knowledgeable and trustworthy person to be leading the conversations around how AI has potential to positively impact the information and referral industry.

Finally after lunch we’ll begin an in-person User Group. The iCarol user group is your chance to learn about the features/enhancements we have planned for implementation in the coming months, and provide your feedback and input to the iCarol Product Management team on what features you’d like to see implemented in the future. We will review some of the released features and enhancements from the past year, then share features and enhancements in progress and coming soon. As always we’ll invite the industry expertise of our attendees and get their votes on top ideas to help us prioritize future development.

As you can hopefully see from this ambitious agenda, the iCarol Customer Conference and User Group is not to be missed! Whether you are a current customer or an organization or program leader who has been curious about iCarol, or someone who just wants to engage in thrilling discussion on all things I&R and how to best serve your community, this event is for you!
