Solutions Expert/Sales Representative


CharityLogic, a division of Harris Computer, is the maker of iCarol software. iCarol is the first and only commercially available, subscription based, helpline software management system that automates all the processes associated with managing contacts and providing iCarol Messaging (live chat and texting/SMS). While iCarol was originally built specifically for non-profit helplines, our solution serves not-for-profit agencies and government organizations of many different scopes and types who serve people in need not just over the phone, but in-person, on the web, and through live chat or texting conversations.

CharityLogic’s Business Development Department is seeking a Solutions Expert to join our team as a Sales Representative. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for hunting for and qualifying new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, charismatic, and be highly motivated with some prior success in hunting for, identifying, qualifying and closing high quality business opportunities. Candidates will identify the needs of the customer, demonstrate the benefits of the software and present the iCarol solution to local government agencies and not-for-profit organizations, growing the customer base as well as enhancing relationships with existing customers. The ideal candidate is an inquisitive, self-starter who is interested in finding the best solution to fit the needs of our customers. They may also have previous direct sales experience, with experience working with the iCarol solution being a plus, preferably as an iCarol Administrator.

The Solution Expert will work remotely and be located within Canada or the United States. They must have the ability to work from a quiet home office with high speed internet. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work successfully in a home office environment.


The Solutions Expert is a sales representative that is part of the Business Development Team and reports to the Director of Business Development. The Solutions Expert will join the Sales Team with a primary focus on new prospects to increase new sales and help with the overall growth of the company, and additional sales to current clients to ensure stability for the future of the company.

Successful Candidates will exhibit:

  • A desire to learn with the ability to be trained, take responsibility for your actions, and are able to be coached to improve.
  • A record of exceeding expected performance and goals.
  • That they possess strong selling skills.
  • The ability to work well independently, and be self-confident and authentic in their abilities and demeanor
  • Some technical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • They are a self-starter and highly motivated for success.

Experience in information technology or software sales is highly valued but not required. Experience working with the iCarol solution is a plus, preferably as an iCarol Administrator.

Support the Mission of CharityLogic and Harris Computers

All work should be done in a manner to support the mission of the company, the company’s annual goals, and identified departmental and individual goals. This includes but is not limited to other tasks as assigned and assisting Professional Services and other iCarol teams and departments as needed to further grow subscriptions for current clients and support client retention efforts. This also includes seeking out and sharing ideas for process improvements and maintaining flexibility to assist with merging issues that are of priority to the company to help guide the company’s growth and ensure a quality product for our client base.

This is a salaried position, with typical hours worked being Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm. Actual days and hours worked may at times exceed this, or shift to meet the needs of prospects, clients and the company.
