iCarol Updates from the Executive Vice President

I wanted to share some updates and recent news with our blog readers about what’s been going on at iCarol.

Progress update on the new iCarol User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX)

In my last communication, I mentioned we were hard at work on the Volunteer-Staff modernization project. Early feedback from our Customer Advisory has been overwhelmingly positive, and I am very excited to announce that it will be coming to everyone in October 2024. Today we began sending communications about this, so you can prepare your teams for this exciting enhancement! If you have not already, please make sure you subscribe to our communications to ensure you receive all the details on this and other things happening at iCarol.

Does your team need some additional iCarol training?

We will host a virtual three–day Customer Training Summit November 12–14th. This will be a free session providing training on some of the most common workflows in iCarol. There will be a little something for everyone, from those working directly with help seekers, your database curators and even administrators and those responsible for reporting. If you have new staff or volunteers that could use some additional training, please mark your calendars now, and more details will be provided soon. We hope to “see” you there!

Have you submitted your application for the iCarol Technology Grant?

We are about 8 days out from the deadline for the iCarol Technology Solution Grant applications. The grant offers customers the opportunity to utilize our capacity building features at no cost for up to 6 months! The goal is to give you the resources to respond to and be successful winning additional funding within your communities. The deadline is August 16th for application submission. You can find more details on the Grant program here.

Did You Know?

This year marks iCarol’s 20th anniversary in business, and 6 years since being acquired by Harris Computer Systems. Harris is dedicated to acquiring, building, and maintaining mission critical software systems and owns them forever.  Nowhere is that of more stark importance than when lives are at stake.

While Harris has invested in the growth of the software, so too have our team members with their long tenures both at iCarol, and in their community service. Our solutions in Healthcare, Public Safety and Social Services are run by team members who have a deep background in these fields and a genuine passion for their work. At iCarol, all members of our support and product management teams, as well as most of our sales team, have worked at organizations like the ones we serve. With an average tenure of 9 years, this team is proving that they are invested in the long term success of iCarol and its customer organizations.

Harris businesses, like iCarol, follow 10 Core Values that bring us together and guide our actions. Our top priority is “Respect for the Individual,” and it’s so central to our culture that we ensure everyone upholds this value—if not, we support them in finding a better fit for their career.

Quote from Sean Higgins, Chief Operating Officer, Harris iCarol (from CharityLogic) epitomizes mission critical. Since becoming part of Harris, iCarol has invested in its platform (growing its development staff by over 60%) and its people to deliver ever improving software and services to a growing customer base that fields over 3 million calls/texts/chats per year.  We are proud to be helping our customers deliver critical services to their communities.

I hope you are enjoying your summer. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me (tdimanna@harriscomputer.com) or to our support team if you have any questions. We would love to hear from you!

Take Care,

Tammy R. DiManna
