Learning about Online Emotional Support with CONTACT USA

Earlier this month we wrapped up our first set of webinars with CONTACT USA titled Changing Times: Bringing Online Emotional Support to your Crisis Intervention Service. We’re extremely pleased with the reception the webinar received and how well attended it was, and we’re looking forward to planning future webinars with the awesome team at CONTACT USA.

We want to extend a huge thanks to the stars of the webinar, Michael Reading and Mary Drexler. They did such an awesome job putting together an extremely valuable presentation for our attendees. Michael explained the importance of taking helpline services online and some staggering statistics on just how prevalent internet usage is, not just by youth but among all age groups. It was really informative to hear about the reasons why people seek help online and getting some analysis on the similarities and differences between offering these services over the phone and online. His own experience and anecdotes provided the audience with great insight. Mary took us through great information about fund development and strategies for gaining the support of your agency’s leadership as well as information about how CONTACT USA can help. Thanks to the expertise of our presenters I think our audience felt a sense of reassurance and confidence as they consider adding these new channels to their helpline services.
