Making “out of database” referrals

Sometimes when assisting a caller, a phone worker might need to find help from another service provider that is not currently in your Resources database in iCarol. If you’d like to be able to start tracking those referrals, we now have an option to enable that for you. A small link will appear on the “search resources” page that says “Out of database referral”. When you click on it, you’ll get a small window where you can type in information about that referral. iCarol will then attach it to the current call report like any other referral, where you can view its characteristics. These will also be included in your data exports, so you can see over time which of these referrals might warrant official inclusion in your Resources database in iCarol.
