Send Email or SMS Notifications to Volunteers and Staff

iCarol’s email options make it easy to enable automated reminders and manually send out emails quickly to specific groups or users.

Within the iCarol email system, staff and volunteers can receive email notifications on:

  • Shift reminders (also available as an SMS notification)
  • Shift calendar openings (also available as an SMS notification)
  • Shift substitution requests (also available as an SMS notification)
  • Chatboard messages
  • Follow-up Activity assigned to them
  • Resources flagged for review

iCarol Admins and Supervisors can receive additional email notifications on:

  • Chatboard message postings
  • Shift substitution acceptances
  • Missed shifts
  • Shift signups and unregisters
  • Trainee shift requests
  • Monthly shift reports
  • Password requests
  • Upcoming and overdue skills and achievements milestones
  • Volunteer and staff profile change requests
  • Resource verification requests from service providers
  • Resource verification responses from service providers
  • New messages posted to the iCarol User Community
  • Responses posted to the iCarol User Community
  • Resource verification requests from service providers

Admins can manually send messages to single people, multiple users or everyone on staff. All of these options make it easy for supervisors to manage and staff to always stay in the know.
